WMcCann, VMLY&R, Cheil and WT Brasil were some of the agencies with news
The week comes to an end and the agencies pulled the main hires of the week. At WMcCann, for example, the novelty was the arrival of Talita Cardozo, the new creative director.
The executive arrives at the agency with the mission of adding creativity and business results. With 19 years of experience, she has worked at agencies such as R/GA, Wunderman Thompson, DPZ, AlmapBBDO, Ogilvy and at the Brazilian beauty startup Sallve.
Cheil Brasil presented creative director Marcelo Fiuza. An art director by training, the creative has more than 20 years of experience in advertising agencies, having worked at Isobar, Neogama BBH, DPZ and Publicis.
Throughout his career, Fiuza has served advertisers such as Renault, Electrolux, Nestl, Natura, Chevrolet, Bradesco, Vivo and Unilever, among others.
Seven professionals arrived at VMLY&R in the area of creation: Gabriel Carletti, as associate creative director; Victor Castelo, as creative director; Ana Flavia Moraes, as art director; Douglas Barreto, as senior art director; Giovana Guisard, as editor; Eduardo Lautert, as senior copywriter and Neco as motion designer (ex-AKQA, Gray and Leo Burnett TM).
Artplan, in turn, hired creative director Paula Esteves. The professional arrives to be the partner of creative director Ana Alvarenga, both of whom are part of Marcello Noronha’s team, the agency’s executive creative director.
Paula has a career spanning 20 years and has worked at agencies such as F/Nazca S&S, AlmapBBDO, Dentsu, Ogilvy, JWT (currently WT), Grey, Leo Burnett and Publicis. In addition, the executive has worked with brands such as Volkswagen, Coca-Cola, Unicef, Natura, Bradesco and P&G.
At Wunderman Thompson Brazil, Roberta Harada and Gabriel Sotero were promoted to ECDs. According to the agency, the strategic decision represents an important milestone in the agency, being the first time that professionals occupy these positions and reinforces its commitment to strengthen its creative leadership.
Roberta and Gabriel, under the leadership of Keka Morelle (CCO), will continue to work as creative leaders for existing brands and will take on yet another important role, exploring new creative approaches and driving innovation at the agency.
A9 udio announced this week Nixon Silva as the new creative director of the production company. The professional has already produced work for artists such as MV Bill, Inqurito, Projetonave, Sombra SNJ, Projota and, recently, was producer of the track “Meu Cear” and co-producer of the album Universo do Canto Falado, by rapper Rapadura, nominated for the Latin Grammy in 2020 .
In 2022, he produced Globo’s year-end campaign “Today is your party”. This year, he was the producer and musical director of the campaign against hunger by the organization Pacto contra a Fome, which brought together artists such as Criolo, Ivete Sangalo and Marcelo Adnet, among many others.
