High on Globo due to the premiere of her documentary on Globoplay, Xuxa Meneghel even promoted a “miracle” in Jornal Nacional this Thursday (13). The announcement about the presenter’s return to the Criança Esperança program after a decade featured the appearance of one of the main names in the competition during the newscast to reveal an unprecedented encounter. Right now, the 90’s shorties are freaking out!
In a few seconds of appearing on the plim-plim station, presenter Eliana, from SBT, stole the show in the article that presented the details of the Criança Esperança show this year. She, as well as Angélica, who works at the house, recorded a message for the news saying that the three blondes, who marked generations in work related to children, will be together for the first time on the program’s stage. The report on the next edition of the charity campaign closed the issue of JN.
“If the subject is a child, there is a lot of chance that she is in the middle. I’m talking about the great queen of several generations of short people, a symbol of various joys and the fight for children’s rights, and now back to Criança Esperança”, said reporter Fernanda Graell when announcing Xuxa.
In VT, the “queen of the little ones” recalled that she has been away from the attraction for about ten years, and stressed that she has two reinforcements on her return: friends Angélica Ksyvickis and Eliana Michaelichen.
“It’s going to be beautiful. The three of us, at one time in our lives, worked with children. And Criança Esperança benefits 101 institutions, with education as the protagonist”, commented Angélica, in a video for JN.
Despite Eliana being one of the biggest audiences on Silvio Santos’ station, she was released to record a message for Jornal Nacional and also to participate in the big party for solidarity promoted by Globo, in partnership with the United Nations Educational Organization, the Science and Culture (UNESCO).
“For me, it is a great honor to be part of this celebration for solidarity, which has changed the lives of so many children and adolescents in these 30 years of history. What are we going to get up to? I can’t tell”, said the presenter, also on video, making a mystery about the presentation of the blondes.
The show by Criança Esperança 2023 will be shown on August 7, after the telenovela Terra e Paixão. The program will be hosted by Marcos Mion and Ivete Sangalo, and will feature performances by Ludmilla, Zeca Pagodinho, Leo Santana, Fábio Jr., Dilsinho, Preta Gil, Ana Castela, João Gomes, Chitãozinho & Xororó, Negra Li, MC Cabelinho, Alcione , Péricles, Liniker, Baco Exu do Blues and MC Carol.
The first time Xuxa Meneghel participated in a Criança Esperança special was in 1990. Until then, the campaign was diluted among all the programs in the house and did not have a gala night. She also participated in 2013, singing “Depende de Nós” alongside Padre Fábio de Melo, and in 2014, as a presenter. In 2015, she left Globo for Record.
Blonde War
Despite the press having added fuel to the fire for many years, and even dubbed the confrontation between the three by audience as “war of the blondes”, the presenters Xuxa, Eliana and Angélica are currently very friendly, promote sporadic meetings and even have a group in the Whatsapp! The three claim that the climate of competition on small screens is in the past, and that feminism helped unite them.
The trio also starred in a Eudora campaign, in 2019, to promote a lipstick line from the brand. The blondes took advantage of the script to remove once and for all the stigma of rivalry. Check out the full movie below.
