Chelsea have partnered with Tempus Ex Machina to launch personalized visualization technology for their fans. Through the Chelsea FC app, fans will be able to customize graphics, camera angles and other features during game broadcasts.
Powered by Tempus Ex Machina’s Match View X technology, app users will be able to choose from different customization options such as custom graphics, game highlights and real-time possession tracker. On the other hand, fans will also have the option to disable all graphic elements so that they can focus exclusively on the match.
Charlie Ebersol, CEO of Tempus Ex Machina, highlighted the potential of the technology developed by the company when he stated that Tempus’ FusionFeed platform allows the synchronization of video and data streams, enabling the personalization of sports transmissions. The company already has partnerships with the NFL and the Pac-12, providing tools for reviewing plays and creating clips for social media.
According to specialist Sportico, the partnership between Chelsea and Tempus Ex Machina reflects the English club’s commitment to providing a different experience for its fans. With new personalized viewing technology, the club is looking to not only enhance the fan experience, but also explore opportunities for commercial partnerships and additional advertisers.
Also according to the publication, the innovation marks a significant advance in the fan experience and positions Chelsea as a pioneer in the use of technology to transform the way fans experience football matches.
