Texaco, one of the most traditional brands of lubricants and greases in the country, is the new sponsor of Flamengo. The colors red and black, which guide both the brand and the team, prove to be a natural connection link for the partnership made official last Saturday (22), in Maracanã (RJ), in the match against América–MG, at 4 pm. The duration of the contract is 18 months until December 2024.
The sponsorship includes a series of commercial deliveries and allows Texaco to have its brand on training and warm-up shirts, on the microphones at the team’s press conferences and on advertising signs at Ninho do Urubu, the club’s Training Center (TC). Inserts on FlaTV and a partnership for the production of pictures on the club’s official channel are also planned.
“Our goal is to increase the visibility of the Texaco brand and increase the sponsorship platform for sports other than motorsport. Football was our natural choice as it is a national passion and a common point among the different customer profiles with which Texaco has a relationship. Sponsoring the biggest club in the country is one of our main actions for the 2023 and 2024 seasons. We believe that the partnership with Flamengo materializes our growth strategy and brand presence. We will still have Texaco on LED signs on the field in some of the club’s matches in the Brasileirão”, said Paulo Gomes, marketing director at ICONIC, Texaco brand manager.
In addition, Flamengo’s Vice President of Communication and Marketing, Gustavo Oliveira, highlighted that the club is very happy with the partnership with Texaco, which is a brand ‘very well known for the quality and tradition of its products.
“This contract shows, once again, the recognition of large companies in the strength of the Flamengo brand and the enormous purchasing power of the great Nação Rubro-Negra. We are sure that we will build a great success story with Texaco”, he concluded.
