Brand promotes live with Tia M to discuss black women’s relationship with makeup
This Tuesday (25), at 8:30 pm, in celebration of Black Latin American and Caribbean Women’s Day, Avon will perform a live, presented by actress, journalist and influencer Mara Azevedo, known as Tia M, on its social networks to open a discussion about the history of racism and the discomfort of black women in wearing red lipstick which, despite being commonly seen as a symbol of empowerment and freedom by the female population in general, is still associated with the stereotype s racist when used by black women.
Still celebrating the date, the company presents its digital campaign Essa Minha Cor, Esse Meu Vermelho. The objective is to highlight the importance of the day and its history in the fight against racism, in addition to inviting black women to praise their beauty and power using potent red lipsticks and makeup in intense tones in general. The idea is to provide information and show, with items from the brand’s own portfolio, how it is possible to express its identity through make-up of any color and tonality.
The action also includes activations and informative content on the subject on the company’s Twitter and Instagram and in partnership with content creators and celebrities such as stylist Isa Isaac Silva; makeup artist Welida; journalist, presenter and writer Cris Guterres; and influencers Isabela Pierre, Alexandra Rodrigues, Tas Rodrigues and Dbora Barboza.
