Globo and the Brazilian Football Confederation (CBF) closed an agreement for the transmission of the main competitions of women’s football, such as the Brasileirão, the women’s Supercup and friendlies of the Brazilian team, the men’s Supercup 2022 and under-20 youth tournaments. and under-17.
The Brasileirão of women’s football will be broadcast on sportv for the next three years, from 2022 to 2024, with the live broadcast of up to 40 games per season, with two exclusive games per round in the qualifying phase, in addition to two games of the quarterfinals and all the decisive matches of the semifinals and the final.
From 2023, TV Globo will also show the decisive phase of the championship and the production of the games will be the responsibility of CBF, which will provide the signals of the matches.
According to the company, the agreement also provides for exclusive rights to the Women’s Supercup for the next three seasons and all friendlies of the Brazilian women’s team in preparation for the 2023 World Cup, which will take place in Australia and New Zealand.
For men’s football, the agreement guarantees the exhibition of the game between Atlético-MG and Flamengo for the 2022 Men’s Supercup, which will be held on February 20, with broadcast on TV Globo, sportv and Premiere platforms, and the main competitions of the Sub categories. -17 and Under-20 for the next three years.
