The Halo series is one of the most anticipated of the year by the gaming community. Microsoft’s classic game franchise will get its own Live Action version on Paramount+ and streaming has released the first trailer for the production this Sunday, January 30th.
The trailer shows Halo’s protagonist, Master Chief, who will be played by Pablo Schreiber (Orange is The New Black, American Gods) and other characters from the series in action. In addition, the video also confirms the premiere date: March 24th.
Take a look at the first trailer for the live-action Halo series:
According to the series’ official synopsis:
“The Halo series will intersperse personal stories with action, adventure and rich imagery from an imaginary future, dramatizing the epic 26th century conflict between humanity and an alien threat.”
Still, it is important to remember that the series will not be considered canon in the game world. That is, what happens in live action production does not interfere with games. According to Paramount+ the events will take place in an alternate timeline called the “Silver Timeline”.
In addition to Pablo Schreiber, the cast of Halo also includes names like Natascha McElhone (Designated Survivor) and Jen Taylor, who will play Cortana in the series. Taylor is already known by fans of the franchise for doing the voice of the same character in the games of the franchise.
The latest game in the series, Halo: Infinite, was released in December 2021 and is available for the Xbox Series, Xbox One, and PC.
