Executive Michele Salles was announced today (21) as the new head of diversity, inclusion and mental health of the Ambev brewery for South America. With the new position, the professional will be dedicated to taking care of the plurality and well-being of the team during the course of business.
The position, which is still uncommon in Brazilian companies, was created in 2020 in light of the company’s culture transformation process – which to this day has its values based on meritocracy. On the other hand, the chair gains even more relevance, since since the beginning of the year the Burnout Syndrome has entered the list of occupational diseases of the World Health Organization (WHO).
In her LinkedIn profile, the manager commented on the news, saying “I believe that it is possible and necessary to design strategies that promote exceptional performance, through conscious and responsible organizational behaviors”.
With almost 20 years of career, Michele Salles has a degree in psychology and has worked in major players in the corporate market. Among them, Banco Santander, TAM, and JBS. In 2020, he founded Carreira Preta, a consultancy that offers solutions related to diversity, inclusion and social integration.
