Spotify announced the first edition of the Spotify Podcast Festival, an event that will serve as a meeting point for the podcast audience and will give people the opportunity to connect with creators in live sessions.
The festival will take place on November 4th, at Instituto Tomie Ohtake, in So Paulo and is the platform’s first event dedicated to connecting fans and podcasters.
“Brazil is a protagonist in the universe of podcasts, being the second largest global market in consumption and creation on Spotify. Podcasts have evolved from passive listening to engaging and interactive content that unites fans and creators”, said Camila Justo, Head of Podcasts on Spotify in Brazil.
In addition to Brazil, countries like Mexico and Argentina also held festivals focusing on podcast creators and their fans. Ticket sales for the Spotify Podcast Festival will begin on October 4th.
“With the Spotify Podcast Festival, we are uniting the virtual world and the real world, providing our loyal listeners with the exclusive experience of getting closer to their favorite creators”, added Camila.
