Meta closed the naming rights agreement with the Brasil Ladies Cup, a women’s football tournament that will have its third consecutive season between the 3rd and 10th of December. The matches will be broadcast live on SporTV and the grand final will also be shown on TV Bandeirantes.
The partnership will also involve a series of commercial deliveries, with posts on social media, interactions with the athletes and activations that will be carried out for fans who follow the games on site. The agreement also marks the first time that Meta supports Brazilian sport and, above all, the professional women’s sport.
“The support from one of the largest technology companies in the world shows the seriousness of the project. In recent years, the Brasil Ladies Cup has managed to help the sport at a professional level. Our objective is to contribute to the development of the sport in the country and strengthen the category”, said Fbio Wolff, member of the event’s Organizing Committee and spokesperson for the championship.
The Brasil Ladies Cup 2023 is the result of a partnership with the Sports Secretariat of the Government of the State of São Paulo and sponsored through the Sports Incentive Law.
“For the third consecutive year, we have the support of the State Government, an essential part of holding the event. It is gratifying to receive this encouragement from authorities who recognize the importance of the growth of women’s football in the country. The Ladies Cup has a very strong social impact , a necessary tool to encourage the practice of sport, in addition to social projects”, added Wolff.
Of the eight teams that will participate in the event, six are defined, namely Cruzeiro, Ferroviria, Flamengo, Internacional, Santos and São Paulo. The other teams will be announced soon.
The Meta Brasil Ladies Cup 2023 is sponsored by Sabesp (Master); EMS, Wickbold and Poder Sports (Gold); New Holland, Vedacit, Algar, and Tereos/Aucar Guarani (Silver); Bic, Levity, Joli and Odontocompany (Bronze).
