TV Globo released its new visual identity this Wednesday night (1). In the new on-air look, the colors ‘leak’ the logo and occupy the entire screen, generating interactions and contrasts. Now, this graphic package — with six colors in total — will follow all the station’s programming, and will also be on the channel’s profiles on social networks.
“We wanted to reflect in this visual identity all the proximity to the public that the TV Globo brand brings. A brand that has evolved to adapt to current times, but has kept the DNA of Hans Donner’s creation for more than four decades,” said Manuel Falcão, Globo’s brand and communication director.
Ricardo Moyano, Globo’s creative director, said that, in order to build on-air, it was necessary to maintain the DNA, in addition to bringing what he calls elements to be more aligned with the brand’s positioning.
“The colors, which were already present in the visual identity, were reinterpreted and we now have a warmer, more organic and versatile palette, maintaining the lightness and optimism that are attributes of TV Globo. The multiplicity of tones blurs the boundaries between brand and content and this concept is the pillar of the new identity”, explained the executive.
The station also presented the year-end film, which addressed the art of reunion in its message. The three-minute film shows a return to routine, with the cast getting into the car, greeting old friends on the way to work, smelling the city’s scent as a return to ‘normal’.
