This Wednesday (27), the Rap promotes a safety awareness activity with delivery partners from So Paulo (SP). The action takes place during National Traffic Week 2023, a movement that celebrates the creation of the Brazilian Traffic Code (CTB).
Around 400 couriers who partner with the delivery app are expected to undergo practical training on low visibility points in long and large vehicles, which can hide the presence of other vehicles on the road. The training aims to demonstrate to motorcyclists and cyclists the safest way to travel around the city and avoid accidents, using a waste collection path as an example.
The action is part of the campaign São Paulo Environmental Logistics Blind Spot (Window), concessionaire responsible for the collection, transportation and final disposal of solid waste in the Northwest Region of the capital of São Paulo. Through stickers installed at strategic points on the trucks, the company alerts drivers and pedestrians about areas less visible to drivers of their vehicles, reducing the occurrence of collisions and pedestrian collisions. The initiative, the company estimates, has the potential to reduce accidents by up to 40%.
In addition to the training, 800 personalized gifts will be distributed to couriers, such as motorcycle antennas, bags carrying straps and key lanyards. And there’s more! Rappi partner companies will also offer exclusive coupons at the event, with discounts on motorcycle parts and health services, among others.
To participate in the action, you need to register for free via the Rappi Entregador app, exclusively for partners. The activities will take place from 7am to 6pm, in front of the Pacaembu Stadium.
