The campaign, signed by Wieden+Kennedy Mexico, tells the story of an iguana who dreamed of flying
Aeromxico presented its global campaign, “Esto es Volar” (“That’s Flying”, this Tuesday (3). The film celebrates the experience of flying and marks the creation of one of the company’s new global tagline, “Being Around , llegar lejos” (“To be close, to go far”).
Furthermore, the communication also celebrates Aeromxico’s partnership with Wieden+Kennedy Mexico, which created the piece directed by Nic Yalouris, from The Mill.
The campaign tells the story of an iguana whose aspirations to fly are realized through an encounter with a golden eagle. Together, they embark on a journey through Mexico. In addition to professionals from Mexico, the creative team was reinforced by Brazilian creative directors Ariane Polvani, Felipe Paiva and José Ferraz, as well as CCO Latam, Felipe Ribeiro.
“We created a campaign inspired by timeless animated films that audiences know and love. We hope it speaks to a new generation of travelers,” said Jessica Apellanz, Creative Director at W+K Mexico.
The campaign will run across multiple platforms, including television, digital media and social media. The film includes a 90” theatrical version and smaller versions up to 6”, ensuring the story of the iguana and eagle reaches a wide audience.
“The launch of our global campaign marks a special moment. It represents a significant step in our journey to convey that flying with us is about living extraordinary experiences. ‘Esto es volar’ embodies this vision, using the power of creative storytelling to illuminate the incomparable essence of our flights”, stated Mario Vivanco, Senior Creative Manager at Aeromexico.
