The NGO Vida Corrida announced the launch of a multiplatform collection of poetry entitled “Histrias de Sonhar”.
The initiative aims to shed light on the experiences and challenges of women who live in the Capo Redondo region, a peripheral area of São Paulo and where the socio-cultural project is based, and inspire girls to dream about the future.
Narrated by slammer and Vida Corrida teacher, Jssica Campos, the project is available on Spotify and Youtube, with lyric videos of each track.
“People are tired of listening to other people’s truths, without a genuinely human and particular point of view. We want to give protagonism to women, who, like me, had two options: to be victims or protagonists of their stories. They have incredible experiences that they deserve to be heard and told”, explained Neide Santos, creator of the Vida Corrida Project.
The poetry album was created by Wieden + Kennedy SP and has the tagline “Meu Corre Minha Ausadia” as its concept, with the aim of bringing a message that breaks stereotypes and social constructions that prevent girls from reaching their full potential.
“Transforming testimonials from real women into poetry for girls was quite a task. I felt all the emotions with the testimonials. I laughed, I cried, all at once. I grew up surrounded by women and girls with different personalities, but all with tremendous strength. That’s what inspired me the most and still inspires me to be bold enough to dream big. And that’s what I wanted to convey in Histrias para Sonhar”, highlights Laura Barante, writer at W+K SP.
To mark the launch of the multiplatform collection, the album’s illustrated inserts, as well as the QR Code for the public to access the stories, will be distributed this Wednesday (11) during an event at the headquarters of the Vida Corrida project, in Capo Redondo, in celebration of the International Day of the Girl.
