The 2023 Entrepreneur Fair, promoted annually by Sebrae, started this Monday (16) at So Paulo Expo, in So Paulo (SP). With more than 1,100 exhibitors, including franchisors, machinery and equipment companies, services and digital solutions companies, the event is expected to receive more than 125,000 visitors by this Thursday (19).
The event has spaces focused on credit solutions, retail of the future, franchises, accessibility and agribusiness. Sebrae-SP teams are also present, guiding visitors on management, formalization and regularization of their businesses, especially Individual Microentrepreneurs (MEI).
Sebrae expects to reach the mark of R$700 million in business generated from the fair, a number that takes into account the volume of contracts signed between exhibitors and visitors in the 12 months following the event. In 2022, the value was R$550 million.
In a country like Brazil, whose economy has been affected by successive shocks in the last ten years, the role of the entrepreneur has never been so important. Small and medium-sized companies currently account for around 30% of the Brazilian Gross Domestic Product (GDP) and are responsible for 70% of formal hiring in the first half of this year, according to data from the General Register of Employed and Unemployed People (CAGED) .

The 2023 Entrepreneur Fair also has interactive attractions and an intense program of lectures, workshops and talk-shows. Among the speakers already confirmed at the Sebrae & Unfy Knowledge Arena are Konrad Dantas, creator of the production company Lady; Monique Evelle e Carol Paifferbusinesswomen and investors in the Shark Tank Brasil; Alexandre Costa, founder of Cocoa Show and others, as well as artists, influencers and athletes such as Carlinhos Brown, Celso Portiolli, Rodrigo FaroDuda Reis, Gabriela PrioliGeraldo Lus, Oscar Schmidt, Alfredo Soares and Alberto Serrentino.
