Gerard Butler is an old passion, but it’s difficult to remain a fan. That’s because most of his recent films have been huge disappointments. Generally, they start well, and then plummet in the second half. No different with Survival Missionwhich premiered today on Prime Video after going blank in cinemas. I watched it, and I thought it was VERY LONG.
In the film, Butler plays secret agent Tom Harris. During one of his missions in Afghanistan, Harris finds himself trapped in hostile territory, after having his identity revealed. Now, to escape, your only option is to try to get to a rescue base in Kandahar as quickly as possible. To do this, he counts on the help of his interpreter, Mo (Navid Negahban, the Sultan of Aladdin). He is willing to do everything to get out of the dangerous desert, but he will have to fight hard while fleeing enemy elite forces and international spies who want his end. At first glance, reading the synopsis, you will logically remember The pact, with Jake Gyllenhaal. But, make no mistake, that film was much better. Survival Mission It’s not a bad film, but it’s quite tiring.
The problem is that Butler is the typical case of an actor full of charisma and talent who cannot find good vehicles to show his potential. However, he has had good times. Some like The Pear Ghost e Cornered are not available. But, there are others. See below some tips on good films with him, which are in streaming.

She is married to Gerry (Gerard Butler), an Irishman with whom she is completely in love. When Gerry dies, Holly’s life ends too.
