With the theme What is keeping marketing leaders up at night? We need to talk about this!, ABA (Brazilian Association of Advertisers) held the ABA Summit 2023.
Sandra Martinelli, CEO of the ABA, led the event alongside Sergio Pompilio, president of the ABA’s superior council. Olga Martinez, partner at Amelie Consulting, was the co-curator and moderator of the three panels made up of renowned professionals, who discussed how to balance a genuinely inclusive and innovative work environment with the impact of AI and sustainable marketing.
During the ABA Summit, the 2023 Global Media Charter was also launched, presented by Paula Marsilli, vice-president of the ABA, president of the Media Committee and media director at Natura &Co Latam. The document is a translation of its original version, prepared by the World Federation of Advertisers (WFA), a global entity that represents advertisers and of which the ABA is a member and a member of its Executive Committee. is an update of the first study, launched by ABA in Brazil in 2018, and represents a call from advertisers to prioritize 5 areas during the process of commercial partnerships in the global digital media ecosystem, namely Competition and plurality, Responsibility and society, Mediation , Sustainability and Planet, people and partners.
The event was held on the 31st, in a hybrid format, with live and in-person broadcast at Teatro Unibes Cultural, in So Paulo.

The official opening of the event was made by Sergio Pompilio, president of the ABA superior council, president of CONAR (National Council for Advertising Self-Regulation) and vice president of government Affairs & Policy LATAM at Johnson & Johnson.
Olga Martinez, partner at Amlie Consulting, presented the results of her survey Feelings of leaders in Brazil, carried out with more than 500 executives, managers, coordinators, directors and CEOs from across the country and which reflects how these leaders feel in their work environments. work. The study data showed that 88% of those interviewed work in what they like and 78% are learning and developing, however, only 20% live their best version at work and 27% said they can be who they are often.
