Brazil ended the second day of the 2023 El Ojo de Iberoamérica Festival with 52 awards, including three Gran Ojos, six Golds, 17 Silvers and 26 Bronzes. In total, the country won 78 awards over the two days of the awards.
Repeating the previous night’s feat, Africa Creative was the most awarded Brazilian agency this Wednesday (15), totaling 24 trophies: 2 Gran Ojos, 3 Golds, 9 Silvers and 10 Bronzes. The third and last Brazilian Gran Ojo of the night was delivered to AlmapBBDO.
In addition to these, works from VMLY&R Brasil, Wunderman Thompson Brasil, LewLara\TBWA, BETC Havas, Artplan, WMcCann, Druid Creative Gaming, Spark Lab, Media.Monks, REF+ and Galeria were also awarded. Outside the advertising world, Globo was also one of the Brazilian winners of the night.
Em The Direct EyeBrazil won a total of five awards, including a Gran Ojo for Africa Creative with the Bring Home The Bud case made for Budweiser, a Gold for Africa Creative with the piece Trucss and three silvers (Wunderman Thompson Brasil, Africa Creative and AlmapBBDO).
J em El Ojo Sportsthe country won seven trophies, including a Gran Ojo for Africa Creative with Bring Home by Bud, a Gold also for Africa Creative with the case The Exilem Team created for Brahma and five Silvers, three for Africa Creative, one for BETC Havas and one for REF+.
In category The Sustainable Eyethe Brazilians won two prizes, being a Gran Ojo that was given to AlmapBBDO for the EART4 case created for B3 and the UN Global Compact, and a Silver for Africa Creative with the piece The Autism Journey made for Vivo.
In category The Media Eyewhich included Marcia Esteves, partner and CEO of LewLara\TBWA, as president of the jury, seven awards were awarded for the Brazilian cases, three Golds (VMLY&R Brasil, Wunderman Thompson and LewLara\TBWA) and four Bronzes (two for AlmapBBDO, one for Artplan and one for BETC Havas).
Em The Counted Eyehad eight Brazilian works awarded, with four Silvers (one for MRM Spain but produced by Canja, one for Wunderman Thompson, one for Africa Creative and one for BETC Havas) and four more Bronzes (three for Africa Creative and one for the case from MRM Spain but produced by Canja).
J em The Eye PRBrazil won 13 trophies, including a Gold for Africa Creative, three Silvers also for Africa Creative and nine Bronzes (five for Africa Creative, one for Media.Monks, one for the case of MRM Spain but produced by Canja , one for AlmapBBDO and one for Globo).
Finally, the category El Ojo Via Pblicawhich had Marco Giannelli Pernil from AlmapBBDO as president of the jury, presented six awards to the country, one Silver for AlmapBBDO and five Bronzes (two for Africa Creative, one for BETC Havas, one for Artplan and one to the Gallery).
Local Performance
The night also awarded the Local Performancewhich recognized the categories of Agency, Creative Director, Producer, Stage Director and Advertiser for each country in Iberoamerica.
The Brazilian agency awarded was Africa Creative, while the Brazilian creative director was awarded to Sergio Gordilho, CCO of Africa Creative. The Brazilian production company chosen was O2 Filmes and the Brazilian stage director award was given to Fred Luz, director of O2 Filmes. Brazilian advertiser recognition was given to AmBev Brasil.
