The actorRyan Reynoldsknown for playing the iconic antihero Deadpoolyes Marvelin theaters, took his character beyond the big screen and comics by stamping the pilot’s helmet Formula 1 Esteban Ocon, from Alpine, a French racing car manufacturer. Through Maximum Effort Investments, Reynolds teamed up with other big names in entertainment, such as Rob McElhenney (Game of Thrones) e Michael B. Jordan (Creed), forming a team that invested more than 200 million (approximately R$1.06 billion) to acquire 24% of Alpine’s shares.
The new helmet design pays homage to Deadpool’s costume, incorporating details from the loudmouth mercenary’s mask, along with sponsor logos. To celebrate this special version, Ryan Reynolds himself personally presented Esteban Ocon with the helmet.
However, this partnership can go beyond a simple gesture of collaboration between the actor and the team. There are indications that the action could already be part of the publicity strategy for the next Deadpool film, scheduled to premiere on July 26, 2024. In the film, the characters Deadpool and Wolverine (played by Hugh Jackman) must come together to face a greater threat, having to overcome their differences, an especially difficult challenge for the member of the X-Men who cannot stand the presence of the anti-hero.
The next film is being eagerly awaited by fans due to the mysteries that surround it, especially in relation to its connection with the universe of Avengers. This will be the first feature film centered on Fox characters within the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU), which shares the same space as great heroes such as Black Panther (Letitia Wright), Spider-Man (Tom Holland) and Captain Marvel (Brie Larson).
One of the notable features is that this will be the first MCU film to receive an R rating for over 18s. This confirms that, despite the transition of studio and universe, the film will maintain the essence of the character, which is his acid humor and graphic violence.
