Warner reveals epic panels with actors and directors from highly anticipated releases, including ‘Dune: Part 2’ and ‘Godzilla and Kong: The New Empire.
Preparations for Comic Con Experience 2023 (CCXP23), which takes place from November 30th to December 3rd at So Paulo Expo, are busy with the surprises ofWarner Bros. Pictures. The company, in a barrage of announcements, confirmed the schedule of panels with the presence of actors, actresses and directors from the century-old team’s next major releases, such as Evidence of Love, Furiosa, Godzilla and Kong: The New Empire, Dune: Part 2 and Aquaman: The Lost Kingdom.
The Warner panels will be opened on November 30th (Thursday) by Sandy, protagonist of Evidence of Love, together with the director of the feature film, Pedro Antnio, for a chat with fans about behind the scenes of the film. Subsequently, the Thunder Stage will be occupied by big Hollywood names: Anya Taylor-Joy (The Queen’s Gambit), Chris Hemsworth (Thor) and George Miller (director of Mad Max). The two actors and the filmmaker will present the film Furiosa for the first time in the world, which is scheduled for release on May 23, 2024. The film will tell the story of young Furiosa and the challenges she faces when she falls into the clutches of a gang led by Warlord Dementus.
As life is made of cycles, in addition to opening CCXP, Warner will also be responsible for closing the event (with a flourish) bringing, on December 3rd (Sunday), films that are highly anticipated by fans. Among them, Godzilla and Kong: The New Empire, which bring together the best-known monsters from pop culture to fight a mysterious threat. Director Adam Wingard will be present at the location to comment on details about the film that premieres on April 11, 2024.
Soon after, director Denis Villeneuve, accompanied by actors Timothe Chalamet (Don’t Look Up), Zendaya (Euphoria), Austin Butler (Elvis) and Florence Pugh (Oppenheimer), will give a glimpse of Dune: Part 2, a sequel to the epic science fiction released in 2021, which will hit theaters on February 29, 2024.
And for comic book fans, the king of the seven seas himself, Jason Momoa (Fast and Furious X), will close the event alongside director James Wan and actors Patrick Wilson (The Conjuring) and Yahya Abdul Mateen II (Candyman ), to comment on Aquaman: The Lost Kingdom, which premieres later this year, on December 21st.
These announcements took everyone by surprise and, honestly, competing with big names will not be a simple task for the other stadiums that were present at the event. However, when it comes to CCXP, it is not a competition, but rather the unity and passion for pop culture that makes the community geek get in tune.
