Bring fresh, varied, healthy and sustainable food to the table of families experiencing food insecurity and social vulnerability. This is the mission ofOrganic Solidaritywhich was born in 2020 based on the power of innovation.
With your platform “as a Service”, makes it possible to donate baskets with real food to those in need, especially during the end of year celebrations, when this movement tends to grow. Therefore, any social organization can use the tool to automate delivery and rethink the composition of kits, favoring fresh and healthier items.
Orgnico Solidário has already delivered more than 100 thousand baskets of organic food in its almost three years of operation. Currently, in addition to specific actions, it regularly supports 750 families in situations of social vulnerability in São Paulo, Rio de Janeiro, Brasilia and Florianpolis.
In total, the social organization has already transferred R$3.5 million to 150 rural agro-ecological and family producers in Brazil, distributing more than 500 tons of food. Involving a network of organic farmers who have their production and income stimulated, Orgnico Solidário works as a complement to the traditional basic food basket, which brings together ultra-processed items with little nutritional value.
The platform has the support of individuals, SMEs and large companies, such as iFood, Coca Cola, ensuringbetween others.
Interested institutions just need to continue asking for donations. The rest, which concerns the entire operational part of the campaigns, is intermediated by Orgnico Solidário, explains Aziz Constantino, co-founder of the social organization.
How it works?
Collections take place on the project website, where it is possible to verify the institution’s suitability with the transparency of its activities. Those interested can donate the minimum value of a basket (R$ 60.00) or even opt for a monthly solidarity subscription, at the same price, maintaining a continuous income.
Thus, more than 6 kg of fresh, pesticide-free food is distributed per family, with a variety of fruits and vegetables, in eight Brazilian states: Rio de Janeiro, São Paulo, Santa Catarina, Rio Grande do Sul, Paran, Pernambuco , Bahia, Gois and the Federal District.
Our focus is to feed the largest number of people, therefore technology has proven to be a strong ally in this mission, not only to expand the reach but also to favor all fronts and promote this ideal. Currently, the needy population receives basic dry food baskets. We want everyone to have access to nutritious food, in addition to the basics for survival. By giving new meaning to nutritional content, origin and chain, the basic food basket can play an important role in the transformation towards sustainable food systems in Brazil. Our deliveries show that fresh, varied, colorful and nutritious items represent abundance, creativity and autonomy and not scarcity, monotony and dependence, concludes the co-founder.
