Campaign signed by Galeria and with pieces produced by Surreal and Punch Audio that work on the “Big Mac for everyone” concept
“Two burgers, lettuce, cheese, special sauce, onion and pickles on a sesame seed bun.” The traditional McDonald’s Big Mac jingle was launched in the USA in 1974 and arrived in Brazil in 1983. Decades have passed and now the chain is presenting an updated version of the song to announce the new versions of the snack that has been on the menu since 1968.
The music gained notes of trap, electronic, zen and funk to accompany the arrival of Big Mac Duplo and Big Mac Bacon. The news was presented through a campaign developed by Galeria and which features films produced by Surreal and Punch Audioque.
The pieces explore the democratic aspect of the sandwich with the concept “Big Mac for everyone” and show residents of a building with different styles.
“Big Mac and its theme song are icons of generations. It’s about time we brought it back, both for those who already love Big Mac and know the song and for those who don’t yet, for everyone. And we decided to bring it along two variations of the classic, the Double Big Mac and the Big Mac Bacon, which add even more personality to the sandwich that changed the history of McDonald’s and became a true cultural symbol”, explained Srgio Eleutrio, Marketing Director at McDonald’s in Brazil.
Communication relies on a social and influence strategy, with developments in digital actions with content creators on social networks, in addition to pieces in OOH (Out-of-Home) media and at points of sale. Furthermore, the film will be broadcast on open and closed TV.
“The campaign shows that an icon never goes out of style. We celebrate the classic colors of the sandwiches and the jingle in a fun and modern way, showing the diversity of Big Mac fans”, added Guzera, Creative Director of the Gallery.
