The focus of the service, which is already available, will be fake news about the bank and the financial market
Ita Unibanco presented the #Fake platform to the market, an initiative that aims to help combat fake news related to the bank and the financial market as a whole.
Driven by Q-Insider, Quaest’s platform for collecting and mining data, #Fake has the ability to track and identify fake news related to the Ita brand on websites, blogs, social networks and message groups.
With the project, society can have access to clarifications about fake news circulating on these platforms, thus preventing them from being deceived or sharing fake content. The management of the platform and the curation of its content is the responsibility of the bank’s Corporate Communications team.
Pmela Vaiano, superintendent of corporate communications at Ita Unibanco, highlights that Fake News represents a growing threat to both society and companies, as renowned brands are used to spread lies and fear.
At Ita, we touch more than 70 million customers and 100 thousand employees daily, in addition to our thousands of shareholders. Therefore, we need effective tools to foster reliable communication. The integrity of brands like Ita depends on the ability of companies to promote ethical, transparent and accurate communication, and #Fake was born with the aim of supporting us in this mission, he says.
