Award from propmark surpassed 23 thousand votes on the site this year, and the agency was the only one to win two of the ten existing categories
The year 2023 will go down in the history of Africa Creative. As Sergio Gordilho, co-president and CCO of the agency, said, it was a year marked by great moments. Great moments that can be translated into achievements and awards.
The most important of them, perhaps, is the Titanium at Cannes Lions this year, with the case Bring home the Bud, made in partnership with Wieden+Kennedy, this being the third Titanium in the history of Brazil at the festivals, which has not been won since 2013; At the time, the winning work had been Real beauty sketches, developed by Ogilvy for Unilever. In addition to this award, Africa Creative returned from this year’s French Riviera with 15 trophies, one Gold, three Silver and 11 Bronze.
More recently, Africa Creative returned from El Ojo de Iberoamrica with 48 trophies, including two Gran Ojos, 10 Gold, 12 Silver and 24 Bronze. In addition, Africa was also recognized as Agency of the Year and Sergio Gordilho, partner, co-president and CCO of Africa Creative, received the award for Best Creative of the Year.
I am very proud to announce that the year 2023 was one of many achievements, we received notable national and international awards: we were the most awarded agency at the Festival Clube de Criação, we were the only Brazilian agency present in the Top 10 of most awarded agencies in the world of Cannes Festival.
Now, just a few days ago, both Africa Creative and Sergio Gordilho won yet another award, the Best of the Year propmarkcreated with the aim of recognizing professionals and companies that stood out in the advertising market throughout the year, marked by new challenges, such as the use of generative artificial intelligence, and the debate on inclusion and diversity in the market, in times of ESG .
With more than 4 thousand votes, Africa Creative beat DM9 and AlmapBBDO and was elected Agency of the Year. J Gordilho had more than 6 thousand votes, ahead of Filipe Bartholomeu, from AlmapBBDO, and Andr França, from WMcCann, as Leader of Agency.
