Championship also saw a 30% increase in revenue from sponsorships
The 3rd edition of the Brasil Ladies Cup started last Sunday (5). In addition to free entry and the presence of international teams, this year’s competition also has more than 15 commercial agreements, which resulted in a 30% increase in revenue from sponsors.
The competition is being publicized on the main open and closed TV channels, with all games broadcast on SporTV. The final can also be watched on TV Bandeirantes.
With the support of the Government of the State of São Paulo, the tournament also stands out for its global sponsors, such as Meta.
“The market has been receiving the Brasil Ladies Cup in a very positive way, with the understanding that the competition is here to stay and the identification of a good opportunity to associate itself with women’s football. This recognition demonstrates the strength of the category, which is becoming strengthening in the country and registering an increasing increase in the number of companies interested in supporting it”, stated Fbio Wolff, member of the organizing committee of the Brasil Ladies Cup.
The championship team of sponsors is also made up of Sabesp, EMS, Wickbold, Poder Sports, Vedacit, New Holland, Algar, Tereos/Acar Guarani, Comgs, Bic, Levity, Joli, Odontocompany, Alfa Banco, Wega and Umbro.
The Brasil Ladies Cup will have a program full of attractions, such as workshops, activations and social actions, with lectures to address important topics for the category in Brazil.
According to Wolff, the initiative also encourages networking between teams, sponsors and businesspeople who are potentially interested in investing in the sport. “These opportunities can also contribute to the growth of Brazilian football, through the possibility of the main market agents being in contact with potential sponsors, and through actions such as exchanging information about athletes”, added Wolff.
For the current edition, there will be eight teams present, divided into two groups. The first is made up of Atlético Nacional-COL, Cruzeiro, Internacional and São Paulo, while the other group has Flamengo, Ferroviria-SP, Santos and the Paraguayan National Team.
The leaders of each group advance and face each other in the final. The first phase matches will be held at the Bruno José Daniel Stadium, in Santo André-SP, and the decision will take place at the Canind Stadium, in So Paulo-SP.
