Owner of the brands, Vrio starts to concentrate its investments in Brazil in a single brand, with Sky, Sky Fibra and Sky+
As of this Wednesday (6), the DGO platform will be renamed Sky+ (pronounced Sky Mais). The movement, according to the company, is a strategy by Vrio Corp., owner of the brands whose objective is to bring the app closer to being a content hub and TV everywhere.
Now, Vrio concentrates its investments in Brazil on a single brand, with Sky, Sky Fibra and Sky+.
Along with the brand renewal, the platform brings the possibility of carrying out up to three simultaneous plays of the same live channel, previously there were only two plays, in addition to the entry of six new channels: BM&C News, TNT Novelas, CNN Internacional, BBC World News, Bloomberg Television and CGTN (China Global Television Network).
The user will still be able to register up to five profiles on the same account and control the content by age classification. It is not necessary to be a Sky customer to subscribe to Sky+.
“We understand that SKY+ is the result of our positioning as a content aggregator company, which today, in addition to being the largest satellite TV operator in the country, offers streaming, online TV, fiber optic broadband, among other services”, says Gustavo Fonseca, president from Sky Brasil.
