Educational program seeks to raise awareness and promote the culture of future security
Bridgestone announced the launch of a virtual learning platform aimed at teaching children about virtual safety in a fun and interactive way.
Entitled “Think Before You Drive Kids”, the initiative aims to contribute to the reduction of accidents in the Latin American region since, according to the World Health Organization (WHO) and the Pan American Health Organization ( PAHO), traffic injuries are the main cause of death for people aged between 5 and 29 years.
“Traffic safety is an essential topic for Bridgestone to deliver its mission of serving society with superior quality. With the ‘Think Before You Drive Kids’ program, we want children to take the messages and good practices of safe traffic into their homes. homes, sharing them with their families and becoming conscious pedestrians, as well as responsible drivers in the future”, said Ana Quaresma, Communications and Social Responsibility Supervisor at Bridgestone.
With the initiative, children will learn tips that they can incorporate into their lives and those of their families, such as using seat belts, crossing in marked areas, observing traffic signs before crossing a street, reducing speed and avoiding using the cell phone in the direction.
In addition, they will also learn about the importance of tires for safer mobility and what precautions and precautions drivers should take before driving the vehicle.
The “Think Before Drive Kids” platform is now available free of charge in Brazil, Mexico, Colombia, Costa Rica and Argentina.
