News in the leadership of WMcCann: Renata Bokel, who until then held the position of Chief Strategy Officer (CSO) and Chief Operating Officer (COO) of the agency, assumes the position of CEO from March 1, 2024. Andr França, who has been in the position for two years, leaves the agency on that date, after the successful process. Bokel joined WMcCann in 2019 as CSO, and in 2022, assumed the role of COO.

It is known for helping clients boost their business results, with directions that respond to consumers’ desires, says Hugo Rodrigues, chairman of the McCann Worldgroup Board for WMcCann, Aldeiah and Craft.
WMcCann thanks Andr Frana for his contributions, especially in accelerating data usage and performance. His 25-year career in the industry includes stints at agencies, clients and even founding one of the first digital companies in Brazil. In eight years at WMcCann, he was promoted to VP of Media and CEO.

The new CEO is Bento’s mother, as she always makes a point of starting her presentations. Renata is also a lawyer by training, specialist in Environmental Law with an MBA in Marketing from the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro (UFRJ). She has a career spanning more than 20 years as a strategist for large brands in agencies, and relies on the experience in technology and data acquired during her time at IBM as Head of Consumer Engagement for Latin America.
The executive was elected Women To Watch in 2019, was a judge at the Cannes International Festival of Creativity in the same year, in the Creative E-commerce category, and at the Effie Awards in six editions, two global and four local, in addition to winning the Cabor Award 2020 in the Planning Professional category.
