OMagazine Luiza announced during an event held in So Paulo this Tuesday (12) the launch of its new initiative, Magalu Cloud, a public cloud service to boost the digitalization of Brazilian companies. In development since 2020, this new infrastructure and digital services platform seeks to meet the demands of companies in the country in their digital transformation process.
One of Magalu Cloud’s greatest singularities is its proposal to offer products at more affordable prices in reais, an aspect that differentiates it from other platforms that have their values in dollars. This service was designed with the aim of meeting the needs of Brazilian companies, which are often limited by cost issues when trying to adapt to the digital era.
Magalu Cloud arrives to complement the offer of cloud services we see on the market. It will be the most accessible, reliable option that will best serve small and medium-sized children. Without the volatility of a dollarized price, businesses of all sizes can take advantage of cloud computing to improve processes, increase productivity and become more competitive, comments Christian Kiko Reis, head of Magalu Cloud.
With around 30% of Magazine Luiza’s digital operations operating in its own cloud, this service plays a fundamental role in the infrastructure of essential systems for the business, such as the search functionality in e-commerce and the point of sale system in physical stores. Furthermore, Magalu Cloud is already being used by some of the company’s partners, offering a variety of cloud services, ranging from computing and storage to databases and artificial intelligence.
Our purpose is to boost Brazil’s competitiveness through technology. We are excited to democratize cloud access, explore the innovations it offers and collaborate to build the future not just of retail, but of all sectors in the country, highlights Andr Fatala, vice president of technology at Magazine Luiza.
