Karina Ribeiro will report to WPP country manager Stefano Zunino, who will also serve as CEO of the new VML Brasil Group
Karina Ribeiro will be the CEO of VML do Brasil. In the new role, the executive will report to Stefano Zunino, who, in addition to being the country manager of WPP, will also assume the role of CEO of the VML Brasil Group.
Result of the merger between VMLY&R and Wunderman Thompson, announced about two months ago, VML was born as a ‘global creativity, combining brand experience, customer experience and commerce’, informed the company.
The operation will begin in Brazil, as well as in the rest of the world, from January 1, 2024 and, in addition to the parent agency, the VML Brasil Group is made up of Markedata, Corebiz, Mutato, Mirum, VML Commerce, VML Health, iCherry, Pmweb and Enext.

For almost two decades, Karina Ribeiro worked at Ogilvy Brasil, where she went from intern to CMO, leader of new businesses and head of Advertising for Latam, in addition to currently leading some global projects for WPP clients. From 2012 to 2016, the executive served as managing director of David.

In addition to the arrival of Karina Ribeiro, VML also announced that Fernando Taralli, who held the position of CEO of VMLY&R Brasil, will take on a position with clients at WPP Latam. This Wednesday (13), it was also reported that Pedro Reiss, who served as CEO of Wunderman Thompson, left the company.
