Competition provides an opportunity for students to compete globally and excel in Adobe technologies.
Free registration is open for students aged 16 to 22 to participate in Certiport’s Brazil SelectiveAdobe Certified Professional World Championship, the world championship for creative students using Adobe technologies in Illustrator or Photoshop. The event has been taking place for 15 years, with the grand final taking place this year in Los Angeles in the USA, but has only had Brazilian participation since 2021, when the Brazilian selection began to be organized by ENG DTP & Multimdia, a company with 40 years of experience in the technology area, which managed, through its CEO, lvaro Venegas, to bring Adobe certification tests to Brazil.
I was invited to attend the final of Certiport’s Adobe Certified Professional World Championship in the USA in 2019 and I realized that there was, indeed, space for Brazil in the competition that brings together representatives from more than 80 countries, so we worked to bring the test in Portuguese to Brazil , and it was a great victory for our young creatives, explains lvaro.
Each country takes the two best students from their selections to the grand final, which takes place in July, in Los Angeles, where they compete for prizes of US$ 8 thousand for the champion, US$ 4 thousand for the runner-up and US$ 2 thousand for third place, plus all finalists win tickets to theDisneyland. And Brazil has done well in the competition, always being among the TOP 3 since it started participating, three years ago, with the first selection in 2020. Last year, 128 creatives took part in the selection and Egberto Oliveira, from Macei, one of the two Brazilians selected, he placed 3rd overall in the competition among the 164 participants from 82 countries. In 2022, Manoela Campos, from Porto Alegre, was in second place in the world, as well as in 2021, when Gustavo Oliveira, from Goinia, was also the world runner-up in Certiport’s Adobe Certified Professional World Championship.
We saw the number of Brazilian creatives in the selection process grow, in 2021 there were 48, in 2022, 64 and last year, 128 registered. This year we want to far surpass this number so that more young brilliant minds in Illustrator or Photoshop can keep Brazil as a global highlight in these resources, says Venegas.
To participate, the student must have Adobe certification, which can be done at the college or school that is accredited to do so, or at ENG DTP & Multimdia at its units in São Paulo, Curitiba, Braslia or Rio de Janeiro.
“We are holding webinars so that educational institutions can take part in the project and offer their students the opportunity to become certified in Adobe design technologies, and participate in the 2024 Selective”, concludes the CEO.
Registration for creative students certified in Adobe technologies in Seletiva Brasil 2024, which is completely free, can be done through the linkwhere all the necessary information for participants is located.
