The Sports Society Palm trees it’s at PUMA Brazil raised around R$388 thousand in a virtual auction for the special shirt created in support of the Pink October and Blue November campaigns. Both Palmeiras and PUMA renounced profits and the amount raised through social action will be allocated entirely to the ACCamargo Cancer Center, a reference institution in the diagnosis, treatment, teaching and research of cancer in Brazil.
The auction, open to the public, was held through the Jogando Pela Vida website and presented the shirts worn by the men’s players in the match against Atltico-MGon October 19th, and by the women’s squad, used in the match against Corinthians, on November 4th. The fans who made the highest bids won the autographed pieces, with the right to collect them on a guided tour of the Palmeiras Football Academy.
.At the beginning of the campaign, the president of Palmeiras, Leila Pereira, highlighted that the action is part of Alviverde’s institutional responsibility program, entitled For a Greener Futurewhich seeks to generate social, economic and environmental impacts for the world of football and for society as a whole.
