In the last few days, the chance that you have come across some colorful blocks on your social media is high. If you were confused by this, calm down! This is the new internet fever: “Term”.
“Termo” is a little game created by Fernando Serboncini, Brazilian and Google engineer. To start, the player needs to guess what the word of the day is, which must always have five letters. No hint is provided, and the user has six guesses. The squares show the results of attempts, which work as follows:
-Green Square: The letter is in the word and in the correct position;
-Yellow Square: The letter is in the word and in the wrong position;
-Black Square: The letter is not in the word.
If the player misses all six attempts, he can only try again the next day, with a new word. On networks like Twitter, the result is a history of hits and misses:

Currently, the numbers show more than 450,000 players per day! Because it is a simple and captivating game, more people are attracted every day. “Termo” is the Brazilian version of the international version of Wordle, currently purchased by The New York Times.
