“If you can dream it, you can do it”, is the phrase printed on the insole of the Nike SB Zoom Verona Slip x Rayssa Leal, Nike’s first sneaker in collaboration with skater Rayssa Leal. The athlete became even better known after her excellent performance during the Tokyo Olympics.
Inspired by the famous video of Rayssa hitting aheelflip(traditional skate maneuver) dressed as a fairy in the center of Imperatriz (Maranhão) and which went viral on the internet, the sneaker was made to match Rayssa’s personality to a colorful canvas printed with clouds. Raissa also commented a little about tennis:
“This model represents my story. It’s the first shoe that has my signature, so it had to show my origins and how it all started.”
The Nike SB Zoom Verona Slip x Rayssa Leal Unisex model comes in shades of blue, a color inspired by the fantasy used in the video that went viral in 2015 and has a canvas printed with clouds. The insole features the illustration of the skateboard fairy and the phrase “If you can dream it, you can do it”, in English on the left foot and in Portuguese on the right foot.
In addition, the model also features a Zoom Air unit in the heel for increased cushioning and a responsive, flexible feel. Larissa Leal also completed saying what she liked most about the model developed by the brand based on her, take a look:
“My favorite part of tennis is the insole, because it has a phrase that means a lot to me. I truly believe that if we can dream, we can make our dreams come true. I want to keep having fun, skating. I want to inspire more girls to skate and play sports.”
