After the successful debut in 2023, the operator renews its sponsorship of the Salvador Summer Festival, which takes place on the 27th and 28th of January. The event is the kickoff for the operator’s music platform this year. At the Exhibition Park, technological activations and reinforcement of the 4G and 5G network will provide the public with unprecedented experiences.
Our debut at the Salvador Summer Festival was emblematic, holding the first major 5G event in the Northeast. This year, we will expand the experience that consumers have with the brand through immersive and unprecedented activations, which reinforce our connection with music and make the power of our fifth generation network tangible. Furthermore, we will highlight other important attributes relevant to the company, such as sustainability and diversity. It is a pleasure to participate again in such an inclusive and disruptive project, aligned with our values of courage, respect and freedom. And it still happens in a capital that is strategic for the company, explains Camila Ribeiro, director of Advertising and Branding at TIM.
To guarantee an even more connected experience, the operator will make a major reinforcement of its infrastructure in the Exhibition Park and the surrounding area, with seven stations, totaling around 40 antennas. In the last edition, the company’s customers transferred 8.7 terabytes, the equivalent of 26 thousand hours of videos on the Internet.YouTube. The estimate is that 35% of data passes through the 5G network, exceeding the 20% ofRock in Rio Brasil 2022 and 30% from the last Summer Festival.
TIM is the only operator with 5G in all neighborhoods of Salvador since June last year. We lead the implementation of technology in Brazil and we increasingly want to enhance the experience at major events, adds the commercial director of TIM Nordeste, Bruno Talento.
In addition to reinforcing the network, the company will once again color one of the event’s most iconic attractions blue: the Ferris wheel, which this year will be in a new location, next to Palco Cais. The operator’s stand also promises to be one of the most popular spaces, with activations and a special rooftop for guests, including customers and celebrities.
The Salvador Summer Festival is held by Bahia Eventos, an entertainment company from Rede Bahia, in collaboration with Salvador Produes.
TIM and music: connection that inspires
TIM has always been recognized as a strong supporter of musical projects in Brazil. In 2022, the operator resumed sponsoring and carrying out major actions that included presence at Rock in Rio Brasil, being the second most talked about brand on social media during the festival, with 85 thousand mentions, and proprietary initiatives such as the TIM Music Festival Mulheres Positivas , TIM Music Noites Cariocas and TIM Music Rio. These last two were repeated in 2023 and are confirmed for 2024, showing that the brand’s connection with music is increasingly consolidated.
In the Northeast, the operator sponsors the Vero Salvador Festival for the second time. In 2022, the company also connected two emblematic Carnival parties in the region with the fifth generation network: Recife (PE) and the Barra-Ondina circuit (BA). Another bet is to take the free TIM Music festival to the Central-West, after holding an edition in Maranho and confirming the third edition in Rio de Janeiro, which takes place in May.
