Netflix closed a 10-year agreement to have the streaming rights to WWE Raw, a wrestling franchise that belongs to the TKO Group, starting in January 2025. According to The Drum, the negotiation values reached US$ 5 billion.
The streaming platform will broadcast fights in the USA, Canada, United Kingdom and Latin America, in addition to other territories and countries that will be added over time.
This transformative agreement. It combines WWE’s product with Netflix’s global reach and guarantees significant, predictable savings for years to come. Our partnership fundamentally changes and strengthens the media landscape, said Mark Shapiro, president and COO of TKO.
According to the note published on the Netflix website, the agreement also includes the broadcast of all WWE special programs outside the USA, including Raw and other weekly programs such as SmackDown and NXT, in addition to live events such as WrestleMania, SummerSlam and Royal Rumble.
The platform will also add WWE documentaries to its portfolio.
We are excited to have WWE Raw on Netflix. By combining our reach, endorsements and fandom with WWE, we will be able to deliver more joy and value to its audience and our members, added Bela Bajaria, COO of Netflix.
