Charity auction seeks to raise funds to make dreams come true for children with serious illnesses.
A Make-A-Wish Brasilan organization dedicated to making the dreams of children with illnesses that put their lives at risk come true, will hold, on February 1st, an online charity auction with the support of Disney. Celebrating the company’s more than 40-year global partnership, and its commitment to inspiring a better world through the power of stories, the action reflects the spirit of the new Walt Disney Animation Studios film, ‘Wish’, released in early January, which invites audiences to follow what they deeply desire.
The amount raised in the auction, which brings together items and experiences inspired by the film, will be allocated to the mission of Make-A-Wish Brasil, which managed to make 268 dreams come true in 2023 alone.
In addition to being an opportunity for new people to learn about our work, this auction has a special touch. Wish – The Power of Wishes brings a very important message: how admirable it is to believe in our dreams and make them come true, says Thais Bernardini, executive director of the organization.
The charity auction will take place on the Sodr Santoro website, an organization of in-person and online auctions in Latin America. The official auctioneer of the initiative will be Carolina Sodr Santoro who, alongside her sister Mariana, leads the As Leiloeiras platform and represents the third generation of the family in the sector. The initiative will offer the following items and experiences:
- A dress inspired by the film and made by designer Hel Rocha, responsible for dressing famous personalities;
- Five posters from the film, each autographed by their respective names: the singers Di Ferrero, Xande de Pilares and Solange Almeida, the presenter and comedian Marcelo Adnet and the voice actress for the protagonist Asha, Luci Salutes;
- Two screenings of the film, each for 40 people, held at the Disney Brasil cinema, with the presence of the animation’s voice actors;
- Two dubbing experiences relating to the film, each lasting 1 hour, with the presence of dubbing professionals to direct the scene;
- A day at BT LAB to develop an exclusive lipstick color alongside businesswoman and influencer Bruna Tavares, who also launched a special makeup line for the film.
All experiences will be carried out in São Paulo and must be scheduled in advance during the year 2024. Any costs with transportation, accommodation and food are the responsibility of the successful bidder.
