Local tournament offers the chance to win a place in Final Kombat, which has a prize of US$265,000.
A Warner Bros. Games, NetherRealm Studios and the eSports association RTS announced today that the next in-person stage of the Mortal Kombat 1 Pro Kompetition will take place in São Paulo, at Login House eXP, between March 2nd and 3rd, 2024. This local and offline tournament will guarantee players points on the global leaderboards to compete for one of the nine places available for the Final Kombat World Championship . This stage is one of four opportunities for players to participate in an in-person competition to earn points towards the global ranking. Registration for the tournament is now open on the official website, and is limited to 256 players, subject to increase later.
Brazilian players can also participate in the Latin League, with online qualifiers starting January 27th. The Brazilian Regional Finals will take place in person on April 13, and the winner will qualify for a place in Final Kombat.
The Mortal Kombat 1 Pro Kompetition will have a total prize pool of US$265,000, and will provide fans with more than 200 hours of live battles over 49 days. The tournament matches in São Paulo will be broadcast live on the Warner Play and Mortal Kombat YouTube channels, and also on NetherRealm’s Twitch channel.
