Action created by Tech&Soul aims to keep the memory alive
The Holocaust Memorial has the role of not letting society forget the six million Jews who were murdered during the Holocaust period and, to reinforce the message, the site presented an action made with post-its.
Normally, people use this type of paper to write down things they don’t want to forget and this is the motto of the initiative signed by Tech&Soul, which created small reminders that have the ability to resist almost anything, be it water, wind, dirt. They were then placed on several panels spread across São Paulo that form the image of one of the Holocaust survivors who is still alive, George Legmann, and with the message “Remember It”.
“The memory of the Holocaust needs to last, so that it is never repeated again. We thought about showing this message through something that would last beyond time. Not even water or wind can destroy these memories”, explained Flavio Waiteman, partner and CCO at Tech&Soul.
The idea is to show that history cannot be forgotten and that these special reminders will not disappear with the action of time. In an experiment, several people “test” the posters, trying to remove the reminders, which don’t come off, or throwing rubbish and dirt in general which, with a light rinse of water, will come off.
