Most remembered brand and isolated leader in the margarine category, Qualy will increase the use of packaging with the label applied directly to the mold in its product line. A new pot design was developed based on this technology, called In Mold Label (IML), for greater prominence and movement on the shelf, with the exclusivity (patent) of the physical format for BRF, owner of the brand.
Qualy pioneered the margarine market with the use of this technology, when in 2016 it launched the Qualy Multigros line. The technology allows for high-resolution quality on labels, in addition to greater resistance to humidity, temperature changes and longer shelf life.
In Mold Label also has other benefits, such as better quality material, with greater rigidity and less production variation; less color variation versus The technology dry offset current, with reduced standard deviation range; and different types of finishes, as there is no color limitation. Furthermore, the packaging encourages the conscious use and reuse of packaging, a point that the brand defends in its strategies.
“Qualy is the pioneer margarine brand in the use of this type of packaging for domestic use, following this market movement from the perspective of visual identity and design. The technology is very different from what is currently used. The packaging is much more attractive in terms of colors and layout of printing. There is no limitation of colors to use, the print quality is faithful and with few variations, bringing prominence and rich detail to the display on the shelf”, explains Luiz Franco, Marketing Director at BRF.
In 2016, Qualy was the pioneer bringing technology for 250g Margarine packaging with IML technology to the Qualy Multigros launch. In 2019, the brand launched collectible pots, encouraging the conscious use and reuse of packaging (#ReuseQualy). In 2023, Qualy brought the Eureciclo Special Edition, celebrating the milestone of 12 thousand tons of plastics recycled and reinserted into the chain, through the partnership with Eureciclo. Qualy is the first and only margarine brand to recycle the equivalent of 100% of the jars sold.
