Exhibition records sales of 100,000 tickets in one month and extends exhibition until March.
Launched on January 5th, Chaves: The Exhibition reached the mark of 100 thousand tickets sold in just the first month of exhibition in MIS Experience, an institution of the Secretariat of Culture, Economy and Creative Industry of the Government of the State of São Paulo. The largest exhibition about Chaves in the world received, on average, 4 thousand people per day, and the great success ended up resulting in the exhibition being extended until March 30th.
With the reconstruction of 26 sets, which were part of the lives of millions of spectators, public expectations were already high before the launch, but demand from the public in São Paulo in January was so great that the extension was inevitable, as Andr Sturm says, general director of MIS Experience.
For us, it is a source of great pride to announce that we reached this sales mark in just the first month of exhibition. I believe that the numbers reflect, in addition to the popularity of this much-loved series in Brazil, the confidence that the public has in the quality standard of our exhibitions.
According to Felipe Pinheiro, partner at Boldly Go and executive producer of the exhibition, the box office success matches the popularity and affection that the public has for Chaves and Chapolin Colorado.
The series was part of the childhood and youth of many Brazilians. The Chespirito Group was a great partner of ours in the construction of this exhibition, providing an immersive experience with a taste of childhood. In addition to reconstructing several scenes in the smallest details, Roberto Bolaos’s family donated exclusive items that had never been shown to the public for this exhibition, he says.
