Initiative called “Ex-commerce”, allows people to make money from things left behind
February 14th is marked by Valentine’s Day, a date that celebrates love in the United States and parts of Europe and which has gained more and more fans in Brazil even though the country has its own date to celebrate relationships, on the 12th. of June.
With this in mind, Garimprio and DM9 decided to go the opposite of relationships, the breakup, and came together to launch “Ex-commerce”, an initiative that allows people to sell and make money from items left behind by his former companions.
Many times you end the relationship, but an object left behind keeps the person alive, present. Selling can help exorcise your ex and still make some money, said Laura Esteves, VP of creation at DM9.
The campaign also includes a video and other pieces that will be broadcast on the brand’s social media profiles.
The objective of the communication launched on February 14th is to increase traffic on the website and warm up a date that is not traditional in the retail calendar, added Emanuelle Lazzari, founder of the Garimprio website.
