Campaign was conceived by David and was recorded in the chain’s restaurants
Burger King has launched its new campaign, where it announces that it has removed 87% of artificially sourced ingredients from its menu.
The film, conceived by David, raises a debate about the fast-food sector, which carries the history and taboo of using ingredients such as Sorbic Acid, Sodium Benzoate and Calcium Propianate, so that products last longer, have more color or a more characteristic aroma.
The action was recorded in the chain’s restaurants, with the participation of real consumers being served by an actor who poses as an employee and offers an extra dye, preservative or flavoring of artificial origin in the order.

“This movement that we are provoking is part of a transformation in our supply chain, which required years of studies and research for us to get here, with the removal of 87% of ingredients of artificial origin from our menu, offering customers a quality and with the same unique fire-grilled hamburger flavor that only Burger King has. We maintain the invitation we made to the entire fast-food industry two years ago, to rethink the way we offer products to consumers to ensure that we are doing what is best for our customers”, explained Juliana Cury, Marketing Director at Burger King Brazil.
The campaign reinforces Burger King Brasil’s role in the work it has been doing for a more sustainable world, in addition to drawing people’s attention to the evils of consuming these substances.
