In the world of pets, diversity is a source of beauty and inspiration too. Recognizing the importance of inclusion and visibility of pets with disabilities, two beautiful puppies, Super Noopy and Petrucchio lead a campaign called ‘Juntos Somos + Fortes’. Pets with disabilities in the crowd’.
The initiative aims to highlight inspiring stories of several pets with disabilities, showing how they can lead full and happy lives with adequate support from their owner, and also join forces with fans of various football teams to highlight the importance of respect , mainly, between the different ones. Because being different is okay.
Pets with disabilities often face unique challenges and not just from having limited mobility, sensory impairments or other conditions, but mainly in relation to prejudice about adoption and how many people look at them as ableist. Their abilities to love and share joy are as great as that of any other pet, as they are warriors and demonstrate a life lesson to anyone willing to see. The campaign aims to highlight their vitality and show how they can lead full, happy lives with the support of a loving and responsible owner.
Throughout the duration of the campaign, we will encourage owners to share their own experiences and connect with a community of animal and football lovers, encouraging commitment to inclusion, in this mix of fans and passions, to show the importance of being united and respectful, even if we support different teams or are just different, says Pollyana, Super Noopy’s tutor.
The visibility and inclusion of pets with disabilities is an ongoing discourse and the campaign invites everyone to be united on this journey of support and acceptance. Together, we can create a more compassionate and inclusive world for all pets and fans, regardless of their condition, breed or team.
“We firmly believe in the importance of recognizing and celebrating diversity in all its forms, including the animal kingdom. That’s why we’re excited to launch the ‘Together We Are + Strong’ campaign. Pets with disabilities in the crowd’ and we hope that it inspires a positive change in the way pets with disabilities are perceived and cared for, concludes Pollyana.
