Craque donated items from his personal collection to an auction in favor of the project, which takes place on the Play For a Cause platform
The 2024 season of Doe Gols developed by sportv, Centauro and Play For a Cause – started with Zico, the new ambassador of the project, who transforms Brazilian goals into pairs of tennis shoes for children and teenagers in socially vulnerable situations.
And to mark the partnership and Galinho’s 71st birthday, items from his personal collection, marking different phases and moments of his professional career, are up for auction on the Play For a Cause platform. The action will remain live until the 11th. The amount raised will be allocated to NGOs served by Doe Gols.
The star donated nine items that were part of his history, including shirts, newspapers, a ball and even a ticket to the game between Flamengo and international stars in 1985, marking his return to Brazilian football.
“Zico is the biggest idol in Flamengo’s history and we believe that this shirt will be one of the most sought after items. Just like this shirt, all the other items were selected by him for the opening of this auction. Without a doubt, this is a weighty and a great opportunity for the star’s fans and collectors”, said Andr Georges, founder and CEO of Play For a Cause.
