A ZAMPmaster franchisee Burger King and Popeyes in Brazil, advances in the commitment to value and female protagonism in restaurants and in the corporate sector. Currently, 53% of leadership positions are held by women, expanding the path to professional advancement and salary equity in the company.
According to an internal survey by the People & Management area, among the more than 16 thousand ZAMP employees, in restaurants, female representation is now 52%. Women are already responsible for 50% of business manager positions and 51% work as shift coordinators. Gender equality is also advancing in operations coordinators, with 27% of these positions held by women.
At the corporate level, gender equality has advanced in team leadership, reaching 42% representation, practically half of leadership positions. Almost half of the coordinators (43.3%) are women.
The same survey showed that female representation has advanced in the company. Today, more than 35% of the board of directors is already made up of female representatives, as is the management, which has 29.72% female representatives.
“ZAMP’s plan is that, by 2025, female representation in leadership, corporate and restaurants will be 50%. To this end, we are strengthening our inclusive culture and actions to combat violence against women, and reinforcing our policies on salary equity, hiring, promotion and development of employees”, details Mafoane Odara, director of People, Culture and Transformation at ZAMP.
Well Gest Program
To strengthen its relationships, ZAMP has the Bem Gestar Program, to provide more assistance to pregnant employees, spouses and their babies. More than 1,500 women have already benefited from pregnancy monitoring until postpartum, with monitoring by obstetric nurses, nutritional monitoring, guidance on prenatal exams, courses for pregnant women, exemption from co-participation in the health plan and layette with items for mothers and their babies.
“The company has been working on reviewing parental leave, whether for maternity, paternity or adoption, to promote the best well-being of the newborn child, facilitate the transition to a new life, balance personal and professional life and promote more gender equity”, explains the director.
Mafoane emphasizes that ZAMP continues to work consistently to further ensure representation and plurality within and outside the company.
“We know that there is a long way to go, in companies and in society, but we are committed to ensuring that we are doing what is right, always putting into practice what we communicate in our campaigns and the way we position ourselves”, he adds.
