A digital documentary that will show how the daily lives of four audiovisual women are what Endemol Shine Brasil prepares as a tribute to International Women’s Day. The idea for the project came about to portray the lives of women who are always behind the cameras, involved in large productions. Now, it’s time for them to appear on the screen and tell us a little about their daily lives.
“The intention of this documentary is to emphasize the competence of our collaborators, and at the same time, to present them outside the professional sphere. Before taking up their positions, they are women who need to deal with different daily demands in their personal lives as well. Our stories and agendas must be remembered and brought to light every day, not just in March. The cut we present are of real, possible women, and I am sure that it will resonate with anyone who watches it”, comments Nani Freitas, CEO of Endemol Shine Brasil.
To create, capture and edit the documentary, the entire team was made up 100% of women, some of them hired especially for this project. Directed by Ana Julia Travia, ‘Elas Nas Telas’ follows the daily lives of four real women in their work roles, leisure moments and in the depths of their lives, with the aim of talking about motivation, support network and being a source of inspiration for all Audiovisual women.
Among the characters, Marisa Mestio, general director of MasterChef Brasil, and Mare Leal, director of Business and Brand Entertainment at Endemol Shine Brasil, will tell their personal stories and professional trajectories. They represent the hundreds of women who work in offices and sets from the company.
“When I received the invitation from Endemol Shine Brasil to share my experience in Audiovisual in a project as relevant and essential as this, I didn’t think twice. I am the daughter of a seamstress and a tire repairman, I grew up on the outskirts of São Paulo, I subverted the natural order of what is expected of a woman of humble origins. I’m fronting one of the most successful programs on Brazilian television, being a woman, a mother and with a common background from the extremes of big cities. This conversation about the journey with other women is very important, showing that each trajectory is unique and that success and achievement are a matter of perspective, I feel strong today because I know the importance of having female figures who made me believe and go far”, says Marisa .
This Friday (8) it will be possible to follow the first teaser of ‘Elas nas Telas’ on Endemol Shine Brasil’s social networks, followed by respective pills for each character. On March 18th, the documentary will be officially launched on the producer’s YouTube, which will be 15 minutes long.
