Company expects to earn more than R$80 million with the launch that celebrates the doll’s 65th anniversary
Cimed announced a partnership with Mattel to launch Carmed Barbie, which celebrates the doll’s 65th birthday.
The novelty will reach pharmacies across the country on March 20th, with three flavors, Pink, Rose Gold and Crystal and, with the launch, Cimed expects to earn more than R$80 million in the first few days of selling the product to pharmaceutical retailers.
“Last year, we approached Mattel to propose a collab, which was very well received by the brand, and from this contact, we were able to develop the collection in six months. We see this launch as an unfolding of all the repercussion that Barbie had in 2023 , with the launch of “Barbie, The Movie”, bringing the essence of the doll to the lip balm, another universe of experiences different from the one in which Barbie already has an established presence. We have no doubt that it will be a great success”, explained João Adibe , CEO of Cimed.
The partnership also aims to be an attraction for fans of the brand and move the pharmaceutical market and dialogue both with Generation Z, who are already consumers of Carmed, and with the 30+ public, who have an emotional relationship with the doll, a gift in the childhood of most children of the time.
