Vakinha, considered the largest online donation platform in Latin America, joined the agency MariaSoPaulo to launch an advertising campaign focused on promoting female entrepreneurship and the financial independence of women throughout Brazil. The initiative aims to rethink the role of society in building a world with more equality for women, in addition to raising funds so that the Mulheres Transformam program can gain new classes across the country.
During the month of March, the campaign is being run with online and offline pieces on social networks, urban furniture and airports in the states of So Paulo, Rio de Janeiro and Rio Grande do Sul. In addition to the impact messages, the pieces have a QR Code that takes you to the page of the Mulheres Transformam program, which has been part of the Causas project since 2023, and aims to be a transformative agent in the lives of women in vulnerable situations across the country, offering support and visibility to boost social actions of impact for this audience.
In the new phase, the program intends to train and accompany more than 70 women from the south and southeast regions of Brazil in partnership with Besouro, a social development agency recognized as the largest institution to encourage entrepreneurship at the Base of the Socioeconomic Pyramid in the world, and other partner institutions, such as Ascenda Mentes in Porto Alegre (RS) and Nao Valqurias in So José do Rio Preto (SP), which will benefit from the project.
Last year, the program was launched in the northern region and impacted more than 300 women in Acre, with the support of Coletivo Elas Fazem Happen, offering entrepreneurial training to generate income and achieve financial independence for women in situations of social vulnerability. Denila Soares, co-founder of Coletivo, shared her satisfaction in being a partner and receiving support from Instituto Vakinha in this cause.
“Now we can put our action plan into practice. We are fulfilling the dream of welcoming and offering different support and training services for our women,” she says.
According to a study released by Sebrae, based on data from the Brazilian Institute of Geography and Statistics (IBGE), Brazil currently has more than 10.3 million women who own their own businesses. Even so, women represent 68% of people living in poverty in the country.
For Aryanne Nascimento, entrepreneur, participating in the Mulheres Transformam project was a huge turning point in her business.
“Being part of this program opened many doors for me, motivated and empowered me, and it continues to impact me every day. Today, we already send my products to all regions of Acre”, she comments.
According to the Inside OOH 2023 study, released by Kantar, the average out of home used in the campaign impacts 89% of the Brazilian population. The expectation that this chain of good will impact even more people, enhancing the reach of the program and gaining new supporters.
“The project was born with the aim of boosting and empowering these women so that they can achieve financial independence with dignity. Now, our goal is to join forces, engage even more people in favor of the cause and expand Mulheres Transformam to all corners of the country”, says Luiz Felipe Gheller, CEO and founder of Vakinha.
