After participating in the 2024 edition of South by Southwest (SXSW) in the USA, the DiversiGames arrives in So Paulo (SP). This Wednesday (27th), the social impact company that promotes access to gamer culture for minority groups brings together marketing directors, CEOs and executives from different companies in the capital of São Paulo to present the actions that will be carried out with young drug addicts living on the streets , through digital literacy workshops and courses on electronic games.
The meeting takes place from 10 am, at Rua José Bonifcio 215, in Praa da S (Centro de São Paulo), in the space where the new DiversiGames hub will be located. The site is home to the Gente de Perto project, run by the NGO ABBA Brasil, which serves homeless and extremely vulnerable children, and will be fully renovated in partnership with the NGO Decor Social.
Created with an innovative proposal that crosses ESG and Games actions, DiversiGames will bring to São Paulo the expertise of existing training centers in Rio de Janeiro, which offer digital literacy workshops, with courses on electronic games (Minecraft, Fortnite, League of Legends, Free Fire, among others), content creation (Creator) and development and programming of 2D games (Scratch 3.0), in addition to English classes and tutoring.
The objective is to encourage the creativity of participants, develop skills such as problem solving, critical thinking, teamwork, communication, empathy and social skills through multiplayer game activities, and generate job and career opportunities for young people who wish to pursue their careers as developers, testers, game designers, players or casters, among other functions.
